| An interesting day at Dowerin in the W.A. Wheatbelt for the centenary of rail at Dowerin, featured were steam locomotive S 549 "Greenmount" on its first run out for a few years. The S was coupled to a three coach train for shuttle trips within the Dowerin Yard limits (a couple of kms) and at the other end newly renamed DBZ 2313 "Shire of Dowerin", this loco came back from South Australia this year where it was named "Iron Duke". Previously it was DB 1593 "Shire of Northam".
Newly outshopped P2516 "Shire of Coorow" was also present and performed a special run to Goomalling light engine with Minister Mac Tiernan. |
